Are They Insured? Things to Know Before Choosing a Production Company

These days many people seem to believe there is little more to establishing a video production business than hanging a shingle over the door and setting up a website.  However, any experienced producer who has been around when something went terribly wrong knows better.  Any production where everyone makes it home safe and sound is a good thing.  But what if a light crashes down on someone’s head on the set?  What if something expensive gets damaged? Who is liable if a crew member has an accident on his way to the shoot with your equipment? These are important questions, and we'll provide answers that just may surprise you in coming installments of this multi-part series.

Nmedia to Begin Offering Tapeless Digital Distribution of Broadcast Spots

Nmedia is about to begin offering DG FastChannel®, an integrated digital delivery platform for HD and SD advertising content.  DG FastChannel® uses a proprietary network of servers located at its NOC's in Dallas and Atlanta together with end-user appliances installed at hundreds of broadcast stations throughout the US, allowing their MPEG-encoded video content to flow directly to each station's play-to-air server.  DG FastChannel® can guarantee content delivery to any station in its network in as little as an hour.  It looks like there's never been a better solution for advertisers who need just-in-time delivery of their content.  Give us a call at (404) 815-9192, option 1 to learn more.

Nmedia Streamlines Acuisition with Convergent Design's NanoFlash

Nmedia has expanded it's range of acquisition formats with Convergent Design's NanoFlash, a new product that allows Nmedia's DVCPRO HD camera family to export uncompressed images directly from the camera's sensor to compact flash memory cards. This tool increases picture quality dramatically, as well as significantly reducing the time required for edit ingest by an order of 4 to 1. Clients can choose from a wide range of bit rates, and the NanoFlash captures the footage in the widely-supported MXF Quicktime format for simple import into FCP or Avid.
We invite you to stop by soon for a demo if you haven't already.
