Nmedia Streamlines Acuisition with Convergent Design's NanoFlash

Nmedia has expanded it's range of acquisition formats with Convergent Design's NanoFlash, a new product that allows Nmedia's DVCPRO HD camera family to export uncompressed images directly from the camera's sensor to compact flash memory cards. This tool increases picture quality dramatically, as well as significantly reducing the time required for edit ingest by an order of 4 to 1. Clients can choose from a wide range of bit rates, and the NanoFlash captures the footage in the widely-supported MXF Quicktime format for simple import into FCP or Avid.

You may have noticed the improved look and feel we unveiled today on Nmedia.com. Among the improvements we made are optimizing the screen size for laptop viewing, more pleasing background colors and behind-the-scenes changes for faster loading and content management. The next round of improvements will include one-click access from the homepage to the company email portal, our MediaPort service and to social networks.
